KUCCPS
Lists KMTC Courses with Remaining Slots for April 2025 Intake
Students interested in joining medical
training programmes still have a chance to apply, as the Kenya Universities and
Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has confirmed that select KMTC
courses remain open for applications.
In an official communication on April 18,
KUCCPS announced that 26 KMTC diploma and certificate programmes still have
limited vacancies following the first round of student placements. The update
provides a second chance for prospective students hoping to enrol in
health-related fields through one of Kenya’s most reputable training
institutions.
According to KUCCPS, all details—including
course requirements and campus locations—are now available on the KUCCPS
Student Portal. Students have until April 30, 2025, to submit their
applications before the portal closes.
“Applicants can log into the student portal to
view available KMTC programmes, check eligibility criteria, and choose
preferred campuses,” the notice reads. “Only 12 days remain before the deadline
lapses.”

Clears Air on Alleged System Glitches
Alongside the announcement, KUCCPS also
addressed circulating rumours about a malfunction in its online systems.
Speaking during an oversight visit to Nyamache Sub- County, John Oluoch,
Director of Placement and Career Development at KUCCPS, emphasized that the
platform is fully operational and that the national university placement
process is proceeding as planned.
He noted that more than 246,000 eligible
students are being targeted in the current cycle, covering universities,
Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, Teacher
Training Colleges (TTCs), and other post-secondary institutions.
“We’ve deployed teams across the country to
support applicants and ensure the process runs smoothly. No deserving student
should miss out,” Oluoch affirmed.
Despite this, officials from the Ministry of
Education raised concerns over the low number of applications from students who
attained C+ and above in the KCSE exams. KUCCPS echoed the call, urging
qualified candidates to complete their submissions before the deadline. With limited spots available and a
ticking deadline, applicants are encouraged to log in to the KUCCPS portal and
make their choices before April 30, 2025.
